Brandt Newell Snedeker is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, he was introduced to golf by his maternal grandmother. He attended Vanderbilt University where he played collegiate golf. Snedeker won the 2012 FedEx Cup with a victory at the Tour Championship and reached a career-high world ranking of number four in 2013. He has nine PGA Tour victories and notably shot a 59 at the 2018 Wyndham Championship, only the tenth sub-60 round in PGA Tour history. He received the 2024 Payne Stewart Award for outstanding character and sportsmanship.
